Future Tech Selected Product · METALEX 2026
Selected as a Future Tech Selected Product at METALEX 2026, where it is shown working live.
What is Auto Offset?
CNC part sizes drift with tool wear, machine heat and material lots. Auto Offset, or Auto Compensation, feeds measurement results back into the CNC offsets automatically, instead of someone calculating and typing wear offsets at the machine – which is slow and error-prone.
How it works
1 · CMM data collection
Results from several CMMs arrive at one central system.
2 · Data mapping
Linked to part number, process, machine ID, tool number and offset number.
3 · Compensation analysis
Actual vs. nominal, tolerance and the engineering rule for the part.
4 · Validation & safety
Limits checked before every write; abnormal values are not sent.
5 · Queue & routing
Sent to the right CNC; held and retried while a machine is busy or offline.
6 · Offset update & traceability
Wear offset written to the FANUC control; every change logged.
How it differs from tool setters and touch probes
Tool setters and touch probes sit inside each CNC and correct only that machine. NKE’s system uses external CMM results centrally to correct many CNCs, so you do not need a measuring device inside every machine.

Key features
- Automatic compensation from measurement – wear offsets calculated and written with no typing.
- Remote adjustment – when a person should decide, QC or supervisors change offsets from a PC.
- Many CMMs and CNCs on one screen – with measurement trend graphs and offset history.
- Flexible set-up of products, measured items and jigs; turning and milling.
Applications
Mass-production parts, high-precision components, lines running many product types, automotive and EV parts, aerospace components – any plant with both CMMs and CNC machines. Read more in Auto Offset for FANUC CNC explained →
FAQ
How is this different from a tool setter or touch probe?
Tool setters and touch probes measure inside each CNC. NKE’s system uses external CMM results centrally and corrects offsets on many CNC machines.
How many CNC machines can it support?
There is no fixed number. It depends on data volume, processing method, communication cycle, queue management and the availability of each CNC; we size it from your site.
Do we need a probe in every CNC?
No. The system is designed to use the CMMs you already have to correct offsets on several CNC machines.
Are offsets written immediately?
Offsets are written when the machine condition allows. If a machine is not ready, the value waits in a queue until it can be written safely.
Which FANUC controls are supported?
We check each machine’s FANUC control model and network connection during the site survey. Send your machine list through the contact form or LINE @nke.th.
